Can't inicialize from vs-code and zed

I wanted to replace Odoo IDE extensión with odoo-ls, but I've not been able to make it works. Then I tried the extension for zed and didn't work either

Maybe I should do something else, but I'm not sure

Would you provide some more information. Preferably also screenshots from VSCode will help us help you, and you can apply the same in Zed.

Would you send a screenshot of the current configuration? ( by clicking on Odoo on the bottom bar, and then show all configuration ).
Also, it might help to read the WIKI for the configuration file: https://github.com/odoo/odoo-ls/wiki/3.-Configuration-files .

If you are still having problems, it would help to share with us server logs. which is is stored at ~/.vscode/extensions/odoo-<version>/ you find the log directory there, you can share the latest log file.

Thank you for sharing the information.
The config looks good. It is bizarre that the imports are not recognized. I need to check some things with you.

1. The imports at djesus/digital_screens_manager/__init__.py and djesus/digital_screens_manager/models/__init__.py
2. What you shared are the logs from vscode, If possible, can you send the server logs, they should be located at on your disk. navigate to Users/josem/.vscode/extensions, you should find a directory starting with odoo.odoo something like odoo.odoo-<version>-<platform>, inside of it there should be a logs folders, can you send me one or two of the latest log files

Looking at the log, it seems like it is functioning well.
Can you check if the import errors coming at the file you showed are actually showing from OdooLS? you can hover them, if they do not have an OLS code, then they are not caused by us. Maybe disable pylance for the current workspace to avoid errors from the VSCode python extension.

Also, could clarify, what features have you tried to test ? Perhaps they are just not implemented yet.

Do you get any result when you hover for example over fields.Char?

Yes, those errors were from Pyright.

You're right; except for a few features (like autocomplete comodel names), autocompletion is already working quite well in VS Code. However, in Zed, it feels like I don't have any extensions installed when it comes to autocomplete; it only flags syntax errors, like when I type a dot without calling a property.

Apologies if this hasn't been implemented yet... I'd would like to contribute if that's the case. Thanks

It seemed that there were issues with the Zed extension indeed. We are working on fixing them. They should be published on the next release.

To help us check if your issue is the same one we are fixing, it might help showing us the Odoo logs from Zed.

The logs are located at the work directory of the extension.
From Zed documentation the extensions are at:

Installation Location
On macOS, extensions are installed in ~/Library/Application Support/Zed/extensions.
On Linux, they are installed in either $XDG_DATA_HOME/zed/extensions or ~/.local/share/zed/extensions.
On Windows, the directory is %LOCALAPPDATA%\Zed\extensions.

Once you find the extensions directory, you should go under work/odoo/1.0.4/logs and there you would find the logs.
