bashなどのように、(動作時の動的な)コマンドヒストリの安全なマージができるならうれしいかもしれない。

(すくなくとも、操作感を揃えられるので。そして他のインスタンスの履歴を出してcopy&pasteはしなくてよくなる)

bashの場合の設定例
通常は複数のシェルセッションがあってもコマンドヒストリは統合されない
以下のような設定をするとマージするようになる

export PROMPT_COMMAND="history -a; history -c; history -r; $PROMPT_COMMAND"
shopt -u histappend
