NISMOD: Sector models derive inputs from socio-economic-demographic and technical scenarios

Most of the sector models take as inputs infrastructure service demands (an exception being the energy_supply model which takes final energy demand as an input.

In most cases, infrastructure service demands are derived from scenario data, in a separate pre-processing workflow to the simulation of the operation of the systems.

ITRC scenarios for NISMOD2/smif models:

  • reformat from database tables
  • downscale GVA to LAD (Assuming constant regional productivity (productivity = GVA/employment), LAD sectoral GVA is LAD sectoral employment x regional sectoral productivity.)
