Hello :-)

I downloaded the app and I put it into my Applications folder, launched it, followed the procedure, added the widgets to my Desktop but they don't load and stay "blank":

What I tried:

  • Kill/Relaunch processes Backup Status Widget/Backup Status/Notification Center/…
  • Remove/Re-Add the widgets
  • Manually launch my Time Machine backup

On the window "Backup Status", all the steps looks good, don't know what else I can do 😅

Thank you for your help 👍

Hm, it seems like the widget isn't requested to update its data as the snapshot is displayed.

Already tried rebooting your Mac? Also, does it update after Time Machine finishes backing up? This might initially load it.

If that doesn't help, would you mind opening the Console app, start streaming, reproduce the issue (e.g., by re-adding the widget), and filtering the messages in the Console app like so:

Thank you for your quick message 👍
Yep, I tried to reboot the Mac but not better :-/
It does not update after Time Machine finishes backing up.

Here what I see on the console (I removed & re-added all widgets, killed Notification Center & relaunched the .app):

PS: I'm using Sonoma beta 14.2 (23C5055b), might contribute to the issue?

Can you keep the Console app open (and let it stream) and open the Backup Status app from your Applications folder? What messages do you see?

I haven't tested it yet with 14.2 so not sure if that could be the issue.
