Assess importance of build year in weighting EPC data for England and Wales.

Scotland does not have publicly available build-year data at Data Zone level (that we are aware of) which is required for reweighting. They have local-authority level build year data for houses built pre- and post-1945.

To understand how important build year is in the reweighting process, we will compare the resulting weights of the pipeline in three different scenarios for England and Wales:

  1. Weighting with property type, tenure, and build year (pre- and post-1930)
  2. Weighting with property type and tenure only
  3. Weighting with property type and tenure at LSOA level, using local-authority level data.
