Point installationpath of launchers and games to another partition? #560
Comments
@Kamikaze01git yeah i think i would have to code that somehow, still need to make sure nsl works fully on bazzite first.. there may be a few bugs there... just to let you know the plugin version of nsl should work on windows |
great 👍🏼 thank you very much. I am also glad to see you are still working on this great thing. Valve should give you some millions and implant this originally into SteamOS tbh 😉 Looking forward for Bazzite implementation and some choosing of installation path 😎🤜🏼🤛🏼 |
@Kamikaze01git that would be cool! |
@Kamikaze01git I have edited the fstab file to mount the games partition to "/var/mnt/data" location.
Then mount the location as g: drive for EA Launcher to access
You can now install the games to the g: drive from EA Launcher and share it with windows. For NonStreamLaunchers game scanner to detect the game and add entry to stream deck ui, I had to do.

Hello.
Thank you soo much for your work.
NSL is an absolut MUST HAVE for all SteamDeck user's!!
I also own a Lenovo Legion Go and installed Bazzite together with Windows (DualBoot).
Compared to original SteamOS, Bazzite uses BTRFS FileSystem. Together with WinBTRFS it is possible to share a partition between Bazzite and Windows.
This works very well and I don't have to think about changing different partition sizes (one for Windows and one for Bazzite).
So I only have a small partition for Windows, a small partition for Bazzite and a huge partition for the game installations.
Sharing the same games does not work in all cases, so I have a folder called "Windows" and another folder called "Bazzite" where I installed my games from the corresponding OS.
But NSL always installs all launchers automatic at the same partition as the OS (Bazzite). And therefore all launchers only see some space at C:/ or Z:/ (there corresponding proton folder)
But these space is only at the small partition for the OS (Bazzite/SteamOS)
I tried to "Move to SD Card" without inserting and SD Card. But then I only got a message of a successful transfer to SD Card... But nothing changed.
So my question is:
Is there a way to tell NSL to install all launchers to a specific path on another partition?
thank you :)
