Thank you for your great library.

I am trying all day to figure out why this is happening.
The program sending plan email works fine but the program sending attached files not.
I am using

Arduino IDE 2.
- SD card with one image file and one text file already written
ESP32 minikit

You should mount your SD card first using this function.

ESP-Mail-Client/examples/SMTP/Send_Attachment_File/Send_Attachment_File.ino

And in this case error is at your networks included internet, router and your WiFi range.

I solve the SD card issue following your directions.
I have now writen exactly your example ( Send_Attachment_File.ino ).
I am able now to see the two files written in SD (bin1.dat & orange.png ). That means SD is working OK
The connection to server is OK but still when it comes to sending the body I have the same error

Could that be a problem with the provider? Not allowing attached file when SSL is not present?

Library works normally which it tested intensively and frequently.

To make sure all are up to date, please update library and ESP32 core SDK and post the full debug message starting from WiFI connection.

The flash filesystem also works well which you can try this example.

If you see this invalid date/time

22:30:35.037 -> #### Date/Time: January 01, 1970 00:00:00

This means you are using many years ago obsoleted version library.

You should see the message about NTP time reading in the serial monitor and time should be valid otherwise the server will reject your message.

Even in no attachment example, if your device time was not set correctly, server may reject your message and quits the connection during the message body was sent.

After I review your code and see that your library may up to date but It is strange that your device time was not set correctly which the debug message about this is missing from your post.

And you should post the full debug message.

In the case of NTP reading (synching) failure, it is because internet connection problem or unreliable internet and you should check and try to reset your router, replace your AP or your device.

ESP32 core only can update to 2.09. In 2.10 update ESP32 keeps rebooting.
the "plain" sent email program you have in ypour example works without a problem and send the email (see debug code below)
The updated program that send the attached file always stack on sending the body. then time out. I thing bay be that is related to provider?
I even put it close to WiFi acces point sot the signal to be strong.

as you see both programs reporting connection with the mail server OK.

Now I may ask the provider for the attached issue
I will try the google account . Is that working ot do I have security problems.
As far as using the ESP32 flash I have a little problem . This is not supported in Arduino 2. . Of course I can role back to Arduino 1.8 but that will be no use because I have files about 3MB to sent. I also considering using SDfat (you supported as I see). Everybody says it is better.

As I already said, the library works normally.

The ESP,32 core 2.0.10 is only two days released which might contain bugs which I have to test but it is not related to your issue.

The problem is your board power supply.

After test, I can confirm that the library works fine in ESP32 Core v2.0.10.

This is the message from the callback function which indicates the sending process exits before the internal timestamp of sending time was set.

When the supply voltage drops because of too weak power supply during WiFi and SD card consume more current to work, it affected mcu operation included timer, clock and WiFi may fail to work.

HI @mobizt here we are.
1 - You are right concerning the boot problem. Looks that ESP32 core ver 2.10 is sensitive to voltage drop when WiFi initializing and needs more power. USB cable power only connection that used for development is not enough . Now using external power 2.10 works OK.
2 - since Date/Time: January 01, 1970 00:00:00 is coming from the callback routine this is not a problem I suppose. But I can correct it knowing what cause it
3 - I had a contact with the support of my hosting provider (papaki.com) and they assured me that since the connection is SSL there is no problem.
4 - You said that the library works and that is a fact.
5 - your test program is definitely writing the files before sending them. I check it and the files are there meaning that the SD works fine.

I am really confused and leave's me one last attempt. To both check the same program using a google account.
To be honest I confused a bit about how exactly make this happen. I made 2-step verification turned on in my account but that is valid for my mobile .I could not find and direction to make it valid for email. If you can help me on that I will jumps start.

This is my last chance since we have a common ground (same provider) to make the test.
If that is working for you and not for me I suppose I have to jump from my window.
Can we do that please?

The library supports authentication methods that supported by IMAP and SMTP servers e.g., PLAIN, LOGIN and XOAUTH2 through its extensions that advertised during server connection greeting.

Other authentication flows e.g. 2-step verification is not related to IMAP and SMTP standards, and it's not supported in this library.

@mobizt sorry is the differences in expressing the language.
My question "what next" was referring if you can help me to make this work after I make 2-step verification off. I did not know what to do next.
Anyway problem solved and I am very happy. Emails are coming with attached files.
I kept 2-step verification ON but following the directions I got an App passwords used for mail from other gear,
Having said that the problem is with my provider. I see how I can solve that, At the moment I am fine with Google.
Please tell me how I can buy you a coffee or a beer. PayPal?

If you mean performing 2FA, it is impossible to bring 2FA authentication flows to the embedded devices.

It required user consents that should be interface via UX/UI and required installed required SDK to work and the embedded system is not support.

The alternative Sign-in with Google is not support in embedded device too.

You can enable 2FA in Gmail and use app password as usual.

If you concern the security issue of using user and passwords, you can use OAuth2.0 bearer or access token like this example.

You can get access token from other apps to log in.

Or get the refresh token from other apps once and sending the token refreshment to googleapis.com to get new access token forever.

Yes reading your read-me file I found how to use "app password as usual." using Google SMTP_HOST smtp.gmail.com PORT 587.
It is working perfect with Google mail server.
Now why this is not working with my provider #define SMTP_HOST "linux83.papaki.gr" PORT 465 is a mystery.
I asked the and they do not have a clue so I abandoned at the moment the idea connecting with them in favor of Google.

I will look in more detail your notes on "security issue of using user and passwords" and if I have any questions I will come back.
Now I have to finalize my software.
