When I'm working on something and think of an important task, it's frustrating to have to interrupt my flow, open the todo app, type my task in, and return to what I was doing.
In the same vein (maybe easier to implement?) I would love to have todoTxtMac as an icon in the menu bar to do exactly this, and also to quickly see what the current task are.
Currently my work around is to have the window open on all desktops but that adds to the general clutter both in terms of windows and the dock. (I personally don't mind menu bar icons as much as dock icons; it's nice to have the choice.)

It'd be nice to be able to just hit a keyboard shortcut, type my task, and send it off. Todoist and Wunderlist have this feature—it's called Quick Add: see https://support.todoist.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001745265-Task-Quick-Add
I'd really appreciate something like this—it's what keeps me using Todoist.
