mitmproxy crashed error after application connects to a websocket

im running mitmproxy in local mode that is proxying only one application, everytime that application connects to a websocket server i get this error

mitmproxy has crashed!

the inputs you mean like everything thats going to the console?

I've noticed this behavior since version 10.2.0, previous version seesm to work fine, so that's what I'm using for the time being. Haven't tested on Linux, just Windows.

Heres my log, I've redacted the domains, but that should still be useful log.txt.

@mhils, I'm encountering the same issue when using pipx. Could you please look into this? I'm eager to use the newest version, but currently, only version 10.1.6 is functioning correctly for me. If possible, could you shed some light on the potential problem in the source code? This information would help us explore the issue further and potentially contribute a fix through a commit

It would be beneficial if there were branches for different versions available. This is particularly important as I'm currently restricted to using an older version from the Windows installation, which necessitates additional packages

Versions are tagged so it should not be hard to create a branch on demand. Not sure if having branches for versions would be that much of an improvement.

Git has tags, and there are precompiled binaries for old versions at https://mitmproxy.org/downloads/.
