No, gallery-dl just uses your config as-is. Also, there is no internal database or something to keep track of all the files that have been downloaded in the past. That would be ridiculous. Also, gallery-dl does not and obviously can not continuously monitor all the sites for any changes or something. So the answer would be no, again. |

gallery-dl does not update previously downloaded files. It can only re-download a file with a new name or skip its download. You might be able to run a custom script by using a post processor to achieve this behavior, but it is not a builtin feature.
Then it'll skip all previously downloaded files regardless of their potentially new filenames. |

Just curious how gallery-dl handles changes to the config, and changes to the image on the website itself
EG, on pixiv, if the uploader changes the
{title}
of the image will gallery-dl catch this change and update the filename? This is my config for the filename:And what about if I change my config? Right now, for example, for danbooru I have:
Since
{score}
is saved to the filename, will it update the score as it increases or decreases? What if I edit my config file to something like:Will it be able to add the rating to the beginning of the filename without re-downloading the image?
I'm not sure if it's relevant, but I do have
