Extension version (e.g., 1.2.3): 2.1.5

Describe the bug:

the URL parameter passed when launching the extension is being ignored
Repro steps:

See additional context to repro.
Expected behavior:

Extension should launch in the url specified

Additional context:

same happens on extension settings
