Shared rootfs between vm

Hello,

I'm a user of firecracker seeking for the solution of the same kind for Windows. In firecracker i can share the rootfs with multiple vms, and firecracker will use copy on write to separate differents vms data.

Do openvmm allows this ?

This is not something we currently have support for unfortunately. You can boot multiple VMs off of the same rootfs by layering an in-memory differencing disk (memdiff) on top of a file, and this will allow the VMs to avoid conflicting with each other. However we do not have a way to persist this differencing disk to a file currently, so any changes made to the disk during the VMs lifecycle will be lost on termination.
