@plante-msft any idea when this bug will be squashed? Currently I'm unable to use Workspaces because of this.

@PatrickAtIO can you confirm this is also an issue on 0.84.1?

Is there anything special about the second monitor? And can you confirm that when you capture the workspace, is the red border also present on the second monitor?

Is the Edge window that is open just a basic Edge window? Not running as admin, not a PWA app, just the base browser?

In my case, my second monitor is rotated 90 degrees and has a different resolution to the first monitor. My primary monitor is 1440p at 60 hz, the secondary is 1080p at 60 hz.

My apologies. Was sick last couple of days so didn't read any updates.

Edge is just the default browser from Windows 11, not running as admin. At this moment running version 128.0.2739.79 (Official build) (64-bit).

I've updated via the Powertoys auto-update to 0.84.1 and my second monitor is now being recognized. Used the same applications to test.

My Edge browser get's recognized as File Explorer and when I launch the workspace it opens up File explorer instead of Edge. So that's a new bug introduced.

My screen setup consists of:

  1. (Primary) a ultrawide monitor with 3440x1440 resolution at 100% scaling (Windows setting)
  2. (secondary) a laptop screen with a 2560x1600 resolution at 150% scaling (Windows setting)

@PatrickAtIO @Inglonias
Could you please retest this scenario with the latest 0.86 PT version. It is a pretty straightforward scenario, should actually work.
If the issue persists please send a /bugreport
Thanks!

Hi there!

We need a bit more information to really debug this issue. Can you add a "Report Bug" zip file here? You right click on our system tray icon and just go to report bug. Then drag the zipfile from your desktop onto the GitHub comment box in this issue. Thanks!
