This issue has occurred in many recent versions. I would like to raise another issue that in version 0.81.0, the saturation of Mica's effects seems too high, which makes the visual experience somewhat unpleasant. |
Same problem here, several updates without the mica effect. |

Microsoft PowerToys version
0.81.0
Installation method
PowerToys auto-update, Microsoft Store
Running as admin
No
Area(s) with issue?
PowerToys Run
Steps to reproduce
When during an auto theme switch or changing on my own, suddenly it's Acrylic/Mica effects bug out and displays a plain bland theme without any effects
To have the effects back you have to restart PowerToys or restart PT Run with the switch
(Sometimes the only way is to restart PowerToys),
and moments later once again the effects have vanished with the plain look once again.
✔️ Expected Behavior
❌ Actual Behavior
Other Software
Uses auto dark mode to switch between dark mode and light mode

Other than that I use WinDynamicDesktop (But I didn't see any issues relating with that)
