mapred.job.tracker wrong hostname

I have the following mapred.job.tracker setting in core-site.xml

but in stderr I see that mapred.job.tracker somehow got trimmed:

so tasktrackers try to connect to the wrong host.

I've just run into this issue, and have opened #27. The root cause of this also opens up issues when using the HA JobTracker mode.

If you're running in HA, have you tried the zookeeper location?

@theclaymethod We're using a HA Mesos cluster with zookeeper and also a HA Jobtracker with zookeeper (via the zookeeper failover controller). Are you having some difficulties?
