(Matomo received this email from a user:)

We have a Confluence Server instance that we'd like to integrate on per-space level (some-confluence.com/spaces/A, some-confluence.com/spaces/B), instead of site level (some-confluence.com), so that we can better distribute permissions on Matomo side.

Consider the three Confluence-Spaces in my screenshot. We cannot allow teams to see the secrets which they lack permission to see in each others spaces.

Helpful to know: Confluence does not have any option to update scripts per space by default.

This is not useful just for Confluence, but for any site that would allow JS, but where different resources (by path) are owned by different users.

The main difficulty lies in user management on Matomo side when the app site does not allow subpath-based JS.
I think the easiest way to support this feature is for Matomo to allow reporting to a site group ID (or multiple site IDs) in the tracker script, and to send logs to each site ID based on path exclusions. This way all other features on Matomo can stay intact, and on the app site side users would just need to put in a single universal tracker script.
