The City of Chicago publishes a list of buildings that were rated as either rated “red” and “orange” in the Chicago Historic Resources Survey (CHRS) and for which a demolition permit has been requested. When this happens, a "demolition hold" is attached to the building for a period of 90 days. Complete details here: http://webapps.cityofchicago.org/landmarksweb/web/historicsurvey.htm.
The complete Demolition Delay List, going back to 2003, is published here: http://www.cityofchicago.org/city/en/depts/dcd/supp_info/demolition_delay.html.
Very good detail and well-formatted for scraping. I have hand-scraped and published this info to my website, "Demolition Hold List", for a few years now. Complete list here: http://cheerocracy.com/demolition-hold-list/complete-list/. A wordpress export of that site is here, if that's useful.
