Brief description of the issue

At the moment I use Rssguard as a client for a local miniflux instance and observed minor issues with the integration. Sometimes read articles appear as unread after next fetch and sometimes new articles already existing on miniflux are not fetched directly, only appear on a later fetch.

How to reproduce the bug?

  1. Install miniflux ionstance and configure rssguard integration
  2. setup rssguard with miniflux
  3. read the feeds with auto and manual fetch

What was the expected result?

show articles from miniflux directly and synchronize read status.

What actually happened?

the log show a situation when I read some articles and on the subsequent fetch 4 of thoes appeared as unread again.

Debug log

rssguard.log

Operating system and version

  • OS: Debian 12
  • RSS Guard version: 4.6.4

I see, I will try to test with miniflux again.

Thanks!

Two more observations that might be connected:

  • Adding a new feed either from miniflux or rssguard does show up directly in miniflux, but not in rssguard. It's there after restarting the app.
  • Sometimes the number of unread articles in the Cinnamon tray icon is lower than those in rssguard.
