Extension is too limited - why?

I would expect from an extenion like this an ability to format the output according to some patterns. However, that's not the case, it can only copy <Text><URL> thing.
I wonder if this related to some limitations of Firefox.
I tried also other extensions like this, but none of them has any better functionality.

Example. This is what gets copied when I run it from the context menu:

With control-key pressed it copies just the same.
