I'm getting plenty of errors when using pandas as the data for this repo. Is this repo still maintained or it's obsolete? is there any alternative to this one that the other is maintaining?

Maybe SHAP helps.

I would not necessarily go to SHAP. Implementing text explanations for scikit objects is a pain to say the least.
If you're working with transformers then you might have an easier time.
