Summary

Currently, if a domain administrator forgets its password, the only solution is to ask a mailcow administrator to do a password reset. It would be practical to allow domain administrators to reset their passwords themselves.

Motivation

Domain administrators can be in charge of many tasks regarding their domains, and users rely on them to do things fast (creating new aliases, adjusting email quotas…). If for some reason a domain administrator forgots its password, he becomes stuck and can not do its work until a mailcow admin reset its password.

While this workflow can be appropriate in some organizations, I believe that resetting a domain admin password should not necessarily be a task for the mailcow administrator (who probably has many others tasks to do).
