On my old system, Kubuntu 20.04 with plasma-desktop 5.18 and UltrawideWindows 4.0, I had ability to do following:
maximize window
then place window with UltrawideWindow shortcut (i.e. Ctrl-Meta-Numpad5)
window would be placed to it's center position, properly sized (2560x1400), BUT:
Window stayed "maximized" (i.e. no rounded corners and not able to be resized with mouse-click on window border)
Now, i reinstalled my system, i am now on Debian 12, Plasma 5.27 and UltrawideWindows 4.2.
When i maximize window and then use UltrawideWinodws shortcut, window do restore and resize&move to (exact) position.
How can i bring old behaviour back?

I confirm I can reproduce the problem with the maximize/un-maximize shortcut. Unfortunately, I am not sure which is the cause of that and I do not have enough bandwidth to investigate it in the next weeks
