Measurements and observations can be a mix of numerical and non-numerical values. Numerical values will have valid ranges and non-numerical values should ideally have a finite number of possible values.

There needs to be a strategy for classifying these as valid or invalid (or shades of validity) and these valid values (ranges or enum) should be linked to concept_ids.

Once we have agreed on thresholds, we will need to also decide whether these get filtered out or simply flagged. If they are filtered out, should this happen between bronze and silver or between silver and gold.

And, if we did this in a way the wider OHDSI community can benefit from, we will get a lot more in return for the time we invest in building this.

Labs and vital signs are probably the easiest place to start.
