To aid new contributors to Infix we have .github/CONTRIBUTING.md, which points to other documents that describe our process:

  1. Agree on YANG model with us
  2. Add confd and statd support, following our coding style
  3. Add relevant regression tests

The set of documents, including the starting point above, need to be reviewed and quite possibly be updated to match the current state of affairs. E.g., we recently got a major refactor of yanger, used by statd, but there is only some brief text in the commit messages that describe how this can aid you in step 2 (above).
