bug: Lock on idexers #57

Describe the bug
We maintain cache fork in our codebase.
In this PR #56 lock was added due to contantly failing race test in CI.
Need to check if this is issue with upstream code or its our "multicluster" flavour issue
Steps To Reproduce
Remove the lock
Run CI multiple times
Check results
Expected Behaviour
work :)
