Thanks for the reply! I do understand the available functionality, but I'm trying to understand the use-case for that functionality. I assume that I'm missing something obvious. Why would someone want to be a member of a Bar where their personal ingredient list is different than the Bar shelf ingredients? Why would they not just have their own Bar? If it's for sharing recipes, then could that not be handled in a different way? I used to write software for a living, so I fully understand the value of adding flexibility, I'm just struggling to understand who would use the software in the manner that you described. I hope you don't find the questioning insulting, that's not intended. Both my wife and I were confused by the multiple shelves and immediately ran into issues with ingredients and recipes being in the wrong places. It got me thinking that we must be missing something. Thanks again! |

I honestly don't remember why/how this feature came about either but I think it came from end users asking for it here in GitHub issues. Maybe something about multiple people in the same household who own different bottles? And they didn't want actual separate user accounts. Maybe that's it. Roommates or something....I'm not sure. |

Any chance a setting could be added to control this functionality? Maybe by default each Bar only has a single shelf, and you can select an option to enable the personal/per-account shelf? |

Does this seem feasible? Would it be best for me to submit it as a feature request? |

Perhaps I missed something in the documentation, but is there an explanation as to why there are two shelves (My and Bar) available to each user? I'm struggling to understand the utility in providing two shelves, it just seems to confuse things. Why would a user, as a member of a bar, add ingredients into the "My shelf" versus the "Bar shelf"?
I created a Bar for my spouse and I to keep track of our current ingredients and favorite cocktails. We only have one bar in the house, so having the My shelf for each of us just makes it confusing to use because we share all the same ingredients. I'm confused as to why a single user would have their own personal My shelf ingredients that are not also part of the Bar shelf.
Thanks for your time!
