Keyboard connectivity

I have built the H5 controller and when powered up see the correct display. I bought the ps2 keyboard suggested in the provided link and carefully identified the cables.
When I connect the keyboard LED's flash but nothing functions on the keyboard. I have re - flashed the software and double checked the ps2 pin out. Have I missed something? Thanks in advance.

I too had trouble with the keyboard but have fixed the software and it should work now. Try swapping white and green data and clock lines to see if there is an error due to mirroring between male and female port pin maps. Please also try uncommenting the line that shows key codes on screen as per readme.

@Clive66 I won't expect this to make much of a difference.

Please observe strict anti-ESD precautions when working with components, it only takes 1 ESD discharge to make a component unusable in a weird way e.g. half the pins stop working.

Please post more pictures of your assembled PCB so that we could take a look at the orientation of components.

All working perfectly it was a faulty board. Thanks for all the help I received here.

Здравствуйте. Не понимаю зачем развивать H5, если есть H4 (очень приличное изобретение). Не проще развивать то что есть, разрвивать оболочку для работы с G кодом,, совершенствовать работу РГИ и джойстика, как вы предстовляете клавиатуру в работе токаря?, стружка имеет место летать, и влезать куда ей не нужно влезать. По эргономике H4 лучше особенно с пультом РГИ и джойстиком (который немножко глючит)

Четвёртая версия практически недоступна для населения поскольку я перестал продавать коробочки а самому сделать очень дорого и сложно. К тому же там не хватает портов.

В четвертой версии 160 компонентов 30 различных типов. В пятой компонентов около 10.

Клавиатуру можно купить влагозащищённую или просто положить обычную в прозрачный пакет.

Дисплей тоже в четвёртой версии устаревший, новый дисплей гораздо больше, отвечает на касание и во влагозащитном корпусе.
