Installed k3s no node visible

Hi
i installed k3s using curl -sfL https://get.k3s.io | sh - on debian in a chromebook

the service is running however there are no nodes visible

when i do a describe i get no nodes available to schedule pods

Could you someone please assist and let me know what needs to be done to fix this?
