Open shell and let's create some filesystems:
$ mkdir bc
$ cd bc
$ mkdir databases
$ mkdir databases/mongo
$ mkdir databases/redis
Next let's install 64 bits MongoDB. (If you have MongoDB running already, you can skip this step.
Download, extract and run mongo with:
$ wget http://fastdl.mongodb.org/linux/mongodb-linux-x86_64-2.0.2.tgz
$ tar xvf mongodb-linux-x86_64-2.0.2.tgz
$ mongodb-linux-x86_64-2.0.2/bin/mongod --bind_ip 127.0.0.1 --dbpath databases/mongo/
If you need to use 32 bit use link http://fastdl.mongodb.org/linux/mongodb-linux-i686-2.0.2.tgz instead.
(NOTE LIMITS: http://www.mongodb.org/downloads#32-bit-limit):
Open a new shell and move to the created 'bc' directory.
Next let's install Redis. If you have Redis already running, you can skip this step.
Download, extract, compile and run Redis with:
$ wget http://redis.googlecode.com/files/redis-2.4.4.tar.gz
$ tar xzf redis-2.4.4.tar.gz
$ cd redis-2.4.4
$ make
$ src/redis-server
Open a new shell and move to the created 'bc' directory
