When it will be a time for it? Are the ucode releases tight to OpenWrt cycle? Maybe the ucode can have an intermediate alpha release before the OpenWrt release.

The version schema is currently by date in the patch version v0.0.20231102. I probably never saw such a Calendar Versioning schema.

Maybe it's time to switch to semantic versioning?

Also please note that the last release tag wasn't signed.

No. The ucode Makefile in OpenWrt 24.10 shows:

PKG_SOURCE_VERSION:=b610860dd4a0591ff586dd71a50f556a0ddafced

Which is the master at 2024-07-22.
