App doesn't start on Ubuntu 24.04

installed the app through Ubuntu app store. It gets installed but not when clicking on the icon to open it, nothing happens.
I'm using Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.

try running it from the terminal directly.
if it gives no sandbox error,
use --no-sandbox flag with it

This is an issues I am facing as well. Apps like VS Code, Brave and even SQL Workbench will not launch after the upgrade to ubuntu 24.04.
Have we found the cause of this issue yet? And how can it be solved?

Thanks for your response. This has been my finding after some looking.
Apps downloaded using apt do not launch while apps downloaded using snap work normally. Is there a defined difference between how the two on 24.04 that would cause the former to fail and the latter to work?

This is a big issue unfortunately. The app is getting lots of bad reviews because of it :( If somebody knows how improve on this on our end, please let us know!!

Someone might land here looking for a similar issue, which could be potentially caused by an OS crash. Deleting the target file pointed by the following symlink helped in my case.
~/.config/Slack/SingletonSocket -> /tmp/scoped_dirpNCryq/SingletonSocket

Posting just in case this might help others as well.
