Charsets don't included non-english and stylized characters

My data includes non-english characters, and there are charmap issues. The specific log is
"Error loading JSON file for video count: 'charmap' codec can't decode byte (bite data) in position (position): character maps to "
The character sets were stylized characters and cyrillic characters.

I don't have the chops to suggest an edit, but this stackoverflow page has a suggestion

I encountered the same error but was able to circumvent it by selecting the "Custom" data option and only including "Profile and posts" and "Activity" in the export. A quick exploration in VS Code showed the bad character was part of my chat/message history, so excluding that fixed the issue.
