Snippet only displaying "generating tag cloud"

No matter what I try, (even the simplest tagcloud, the module keeps on displaying "generating tag cloud"

TW&C version 1.4.4
MacOs 10.14.6

Obsidian 1.5.3

I found the root cause and changed a setting to make it work
Settings > Appearance: I changed the value of "Base color theme" from "Adapt to Sytem" to "Dark" (my theme being Atom)
