2.4: navigation block not properly modified with LTI launch. #10

This occurs with the latest checkout.
I'm trying to grok what's going on here, but I've not made it far enough down the path of understanding the internals of Moodle to be able to get very far with it currently. The existing code does seem to try to remove all of the nav elements (lib.php line 71-73), and it does find some of the nodes in question.
Settings for this LTI module are as follows:

un-checking "Force course navigation" has no affect on this.

adding "currentcourse" to $nodekey array (lib.php, line 71) removes the "Current Course" section as expected. Home is still being evasive.
