sken130 commented Dec 15, 2023

Thanks for this great tool, I use this tool to share secrets to internal colleagues.

When I explain how to use the copied links to my colleagues, I find myself always writing some boilerplate paragraphs to them.

Is it possible for Yopass to copy the one-click link/short link with descriptive instructions as well?

Yopass new copy buttons

My suggested template for the copy button "One-click link with instructions":

The one-click link for the secret is:
https://yopass.se/#/s/xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The link allows one-time download only. (Mention this only if One-time download is ticked)
The link will expire on 15 Dec 2023 16:20:65 UTC+8 (Date time format should be unambiguous. I believe the expiry date is available in browser without the need to retrieve from server)

If you cannot open the link, it may be because:
1. It has been opened before by you or someone else (in which case the secret may be compromised) (Mention this only if One-time download is ticked)
2. It is expired
3. The link is not correct

My suggested template for the copy button "Short link with instructions":

The link for the secret is:
https://yopass.se/#/s/xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx

The decryption key will be sent to you in separate channel.
