Photo slideshow: runs out of memory after 30 minutes of photos or so

When viewing a photo slideshow, the app ran out of memory in 30 minutes or so of perusing the feature. The TV then said that it was going to restart the application which put me right back in the starting screen.

OLED77C2, has 2GiB memory total, about 1G freely allocatable while sitting in home. Should definitely have sufficient memory to display most photo reels.
