Ability to quickly switch user with no credentials

Unless I misunderstand how it currently works, it is not possible to easily start JF and pick a user.
The user is always forced to input a password.
My previous workaround was EasyPassword, which allowed to login by keeping the password field empty. This, I believe, has been deprecated (jellyfin/jellyfin#9820).

My use case:

• Me and wife have separate accounts to keep separate "watched" status on movies and shows
• We just wanna turn on the TV, and pick the current user (like any other streaming service)
• We don't want to put the password (or the passcode) every time, it's a lot of work.
• Having to put the password should be opt-in if you are on a local network

EDIT:
It seems like my user always asks for password, but my wife's doesn't. I don't understand what is going on

EDIT 2:
Turns out the issue was that I could not remove my password from my admin account. As a workaround, I added a new temp account, gave it admin power, logged in with it, and reset the password of my main account from Users > myuser > Password.
