All Android TV-based devices — which includes Google TV — must support the AV1 codec starting on March 31, 2021. This applies to any device running Android 10 or Android 11. Jellyfin says it's not supported and I'm yet to convert anything to it. https://developer.android.com/guide/topics/media/media-formats
Seems a little outdated, I was looking at https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/Media/Formats/Video_codecs and it tells me that Safari is able to play HEVC but jellyfin says it can't and Chrome supports AV1
