When I was in college, our campus zipcode (15289) expired and they forgot to renew. They told us to use a Pittsburgh zipcode for a few weeks. Wtf happened here - is there an application and a contact person who renews every year?
Zip+4 wtf? When was it added, is there a way to look it up without a computer database, do small towns need it as much as cities?
When I visited the Marshall Islands I was surprised to find they had USPS running the postal system in their country. My address ended "Majuro, MH 96960"
What are zipcodes like for territories and protectorates?
