Description

i try suspend my laptop. and turn on again my external monitor become small resolution like this.

but primary monitor (monitor laptop) nothing problem. but i try disable monitor and enable again. external monitor work fine again

idk this problem from nvidia or not...

How to reproduce

1. systemctl suspend
2. my laptop success to suspend
3. turn on laptop from suspend
4. is turn on but only external monitor issue small resolution
5. disable enable external monitor from hyprland.conf
6. work again

only work if i unplug HDMI and plug again. but i need solutions without unplug HDMI

IIRC, I looked into this and it was due to vt-switch restore not doing buffer blit so modeset fails with invalid buffer
just didn't get the time to fix

anyway guys i using another tilling wayland called niri, wake after suspend work perfectly with nvidia. i hope someone can fix with code niri (if allow it)

I have the same problem. Almost every day, in the morning after idle, one of the monitors (connected to the integrated Intel GPU) has a small resolution.

hyprctl reload fixes the problem

Hey did you figure this out? I have this exact same issue. Using HDMI port on laptop and NVIDIA 4070 Mobile. Hyprctl reload fixes it but I do not want to do this every time I sleep my laptop. Might as well shut it down instead of suspend at that point.
