Hyprland Failures on Dock Disconnect

I have hyprland running on my laptop connected to two monitors through a dell wd22tb dock, one over usb-c, one over hdmi. After unplugging from my dock and pluggin back in, hyprland never re-enables the usb-c monitor, leaving it black. In hyprctl it is listed as 0x0@60 0x0. When I exit hyprland (back to tuigreet) the monitor immediately starts working again. So every time I move my laptop from my dock I have to restart hyprland and everything that was running on it, which is very disruptive. This has been occurring for months. Happy to provide any debug information required.

Have noticed that when this happens, waybar becomes invisible (and stays this way post restart), wdisplays fails to launch with Gdk-Message: 13:24:21.394: Error 71 (Protocol error) dispatching to Wayland display.
and chromium fails to launch with systemd-coredump[237605]: Process 237479 (chromium) of user 1000 terminated abnormally with signal 5/TRAP, processing... logged to my journal.
