Hello,
Since 0.52.1-b, the
render_unfocusedsetting doesn't work as it did before, what was expected:If the window has the
render_unfocusedrule active, it should update when placed in a hidden workspace atrender_unfocused_fpsfps.It worked before as I posted this question on the forum, which solved my issue.
What happens now:
When I'm placing my shader window in a hidden workspace on my second monitor and recording said window with OBS, it only displays at a reduced framerate through OBS. What I've observed is that the hidden window updates at the rate of my current window displayed on the monitor. For example, the hidden window updates at 60FPS if a game is running or a video is playing on the same monitor or if I move my mouse around. Otherwise it freezes or updates only if an event occurs on the monitor, for example, if there's a terminal opened, the hidden window will update each time the cursor blinks on the terminal.
I've tried the fix mentionned on #12408, however it only fixes the mentioned issue and not this one.
Note: if the update happens on another monitor, ie my main one, it won't update the hidden window.
