Discovered a workaround which helps with this issue and may provide additional context regarding what is being asked. The workaround is to send a dispatch to disable mouse warping in between workspace switching though I think the functionality of the config should still be addressed. Workaround: Edit: Replaced snippet with full function for continuity. |

There is currently no way to disable mouse warping for specifically workspace dispatch calls. I may be an edge case but I can see this being an issue in other environments / setup:
Note: I am adding this info for context, though quickshell is not the core issue/request here.
Config Context:
Design: I have a quickshell qml file that generates the hyprland workspaces in my bar and assigns them in groups, rather than 1 workspace per button, allowing for dual monitor workspace switching:
This is then activated by the function:
After this, as the right workspace is the last to be activated, the mouse ends up on the center of the screen on the right side. I tried to patch some of this behavior via the Hyprland configuration.
hyprland.conf (relevant settings):
However, despite implementing the
warp_on_change_workspacesetting to prevent this specific scenario, the mouse still warps. Now, as far as I understand it, this setting may not be global which is why I didn't place this in the bug discussions. A fix for dispatch integration with settings (if applicable) or an addedwarp_on_workspace_dispatch = 0property would be greatly appreciated.Let me know if I'm crazy or if I'm missing something. Love the project! Keep up the good work. <3
Edit: Going to war with github code formatting. Got it. Lol sorry for the bunch of edits.
