Maybe you could switch to master layout and change In addition if you like, you can also change `orientation = center' to make your master tile in the center which will work really well with ultrawide setups. However your slaves will be on left and right and a bit smaller, so its personal preference. I personally have a 21:9 main monitor and a vertical 16:9 (aka 9:16 but sounds weird saying that haha) and currently use the dwindle layout. I am trying to find a way to have different layouts per monitor/workspace if possible but if that doesn't work I may just switch to master layout and set |

I have a dwindle configuration on a 21:9 monitor:
Right now
default_split_ratioapplies to both horizontal (side-by-side) and vertical (top/bottom) splits. On ultrawide panels this works well for horizontal splits, but vertical splits become too imbalanced.I'd like to ask if it is technically feasible to introduce something like:
The idea is to allow a different ratio depending on the split orientation. For example, width ratio 1.3 for side splits, height ratio 1.0 for top/bottom.
If this goes against dwindle's core design or would complicate the layout logic, I completely understand. I just want to know whether this is possible within the current architecture or if it would require major changes.
Current behaviour:

Desired behaviour using the two separate ratios:

If this is already achievable and I missed the option, feel free to point me in the right direction.
Thank you.
