if the mode is not listed in hyprctl monitors there's nothing hyprland can do. Custom modelines might or might not work. It's all down to the driver. |

I have been at this for about two days now. Using the latest release of Omarchy. Here's what's happening:
I have a 2 monitor setup: The secondary is functioning as expected, 1080p and 60Hz. The primary however is stuck at 1366x768 and nothing I have done has been able to fix it (fixing it here meaning setting it to 1080p 75Hz, as I had it previously on Windows). What I've tried:
hyprland.conf:
Failure. Makes sense as the desired resolution doesn't show up under hyprctl monitors.
Nothing. Tried enabling the environment variables

WLR_DRM_NO_MODIFIERS=1andAQ_NO_MODIFIERS=1as per issue #9736. Didn't work either. Tried setting the resolution viakernel_cmdlineinlimine.conf, and disabling modeline there. NopeMaybe a borked EDID? Took a look with
wxedid:Seems all good to me? Tried editing some of the working modes (e.g. the 768p resolution I've been stuck at for days) to be identical to the 1080p entries, and performing an edid override. All that happened was that neither resolution shows up under
hyprctl monitors. Nothing. Nothing and nothing and nothing has worked. Driver issue, perhaps? Not sure. I just don't know. Is there anything I've overlooked here??
