cyclenext, prev not working as expected when followed by bringactivetotop

Description

I'm trying to reproduce the focus next/previous by index behavior (like Super + J/K in AwesomeWM).
All my windows are floating. The Super + J binding works perfectly — it cycles through windows one by one by index.
However, Super + K only switches between the last two focused windows, similar to Alt-Tab behavior.

Config:

bind = $mainMod, j, cyclenext
bind = $mainMod, j, bringactivetotop
bind = $mainMod, k, cyclenext, prev
bind = $mainMod, k, bringactivetotop

I'm experiencing the same issue. Would love to be able to cycle back and forth between a bunch of maximized windows, like on AwesomeWM.
