I just released a launcher that fits my needs. It's probably not perfect but it makes what I wanted to do.
It's translated in several langs, and a little label on the bottom will show you if there is an updated version. You can press
escto close, and navigate with TAB/Arrow keys.The search is based on app name, executable, generic names and comment (using i18n).
