Glitches with fractional scaling

Hello, I recently fell in love with Hyprland and set it up on the 3rd computer already, which was running CachyOS instead of Arch like the two previous ones.

Everything seemed to work fine, until I started seeing some werid artifacts in random places. At first it was my python based Qt apps, both in Wayland and xcb mode. Then I noticed it also happens in GTK apps like CachyOS Hello or Nautilius, before even spotting it in Neovim run via Alacritty.

Another difference from my other setups is that I use HDR monitors, but despite changing the cm or bitdepth options nothing has changed.

I found this thread with a supposed fix for KDE, the issue in the video is similiar to mine and it seems to be related to color management.

Things I tried:

• set all the nvidia related env vars from the wiki
• tried changing monitor resolutions, setting bitdepth to 10 and cm to wide
• checked various apps, there are no issues with Electron based apps or Firefox
• considered changing NVIDIA drivers, but I have an RTX 3060 and read that the default cauchyOS Open Drivers option works best
• changed the monitor scaling from 1.5 to 1. This fixed the issue, but it is unusable on a 4K 27'' monitor

Any help on what could further be checked will be greatly appreciated.

This was a bug in hyprutils 0.9, fixed in hyprutils 0.10
