Laggy Animations and Cursor movement on Nvidia when you are not focused on a window/application

Hey, well i'm on the 4060 at the moment, on the nvidia-open driver, and when im moving my cursor on my desktop for example, it appears stuttering, like it is not reaching the maximum refresh rate, i checked my gpu clock speeds, its not that its idling at like 200mhz, this issue also appears when im switching into a workspace from my desktop too, the animation is stuttery, but after, when doing whatever on a workspace with an application/window opened, everything from both the animations and the cursor are smooth as they should be, (NOTE: This is visible only on ab above 100hz, im on 180) And i checked it, nothing like that happens when i use my igpu (uhd 770)

So you figured it out? I encountered this issue on niri and hyprland as well. I opened an issue, they dismiss.

Yeah i did, its actually that the scheduler takes a while for it to jump from idle, i just limited the minimum idle clock speeds of the gpu, also its memory clock too and now it works fine, i run sudo /usr/bin/nvidia-smi -lgc 1830,2595
and sudo /usr/bin/nvidia-smi -lmc 2000,8501 as exec once on the hyprland config, replace the 1830 with how much yuo want the minimum clockspeed to be for your gpu, also the 2595 for the max too, and do the same with memory, normaly the clock drops to like 100mhz and causes that, a valuve of over 500 should be right,

Or you can add the following to the kernel command line to enable NVIDIA Persistence Mode and Power Mizer — at least it works for me.
Initially, I tried locking the GPU clock, it works but that's not good enough.
