there is no "hover" event. The app is the one to process this. What we would have to do is send some cursor coords of -420 -20000 or something |

Currently, when the cursor is hidden via
inactive_timeoutorhide_on_key_press, hover events are still sent. This is most prominent when browsing the web and becomes increasingly annoying the more interactive the currently viewed website is.On YouTube for example, when hovering over a thumbnail, the respective video starts auto playing its preview. This keeps happening when then scrolling with the keyboard using a plugin like Tridactyl or just the arrow keys. Personally, I find it annoying enough even with more basic hover effects like most browsers' URL popups in the bottom left when hovering over html
atags.Sway's implementation for hiding the cursor doesn't have this issue. When the cursor gets hidden via
swaymsg "seat * hide_cursor 1000, hover events are also suppressed (until you switch workspaces for some reason).This would eliminate one major pain point for me with Hyprland. Thanks for your work in the Wayland space!
